Apple thừa nhận sự cố vạch sóng iPhone 4

Mặc dù hoan hỉ với doanh số 1,7 triệu trong ba ngày đầu bán hàng, Apple vẫn không thể trốn tránh sau quá nhiều lời phàn nàn của khách hàng về sự cố ăng-ten của iPhone 4.
Để hợp lý hóa vấn đề, Apple đã chính thức lên tiếng xin lỗi khách hàng, thừa nhận vạch sóng trên màn hình iPhone 4 không hiển thị đúng, tuy nhiên vấn đề về ăng-ten thì Apple vẫn bỏ ngỏ.
“Chúng tôi rất ngạc nhiên khi phát hiện có sai sót trong công nghệ hiển thị sóng trên màn hình, ngay lập tức Apple đã bắt tay điều tra cụ thể sự việc này.” Apple cho biết.
Apple cho biết việc tính toán nhầm cường độ tín hiệu sóng của iPhone đã tồn tại từ phiên bản iPhone đầu tiên được ra mắt vào năm 2007.
Apple còn cho hay hãng thực sự ngạc nhiên khi phát hiện công thức mà Apple sử dụng để tính toán có bao nhiêu cột sóng được hiển thị là hoàn toàn sai. Thường thì cột sống hiển thị trên màn hình sẽ nhiều hơn 2 cột so với mức sóng nhận được trên thực tế.
Bên cạnh đó, Apple không đưa ra lời giải thích cụ thể về việc tại sao người dùng cầm iPhone 4 theo cách khác nhau lại khiến cho sóng thu được lại giảm.
Apple cho rằng vấn đề này không chỉ xảy ra với iPhone mà còn là tình trạng chung của hầu hết các dòng máy của các nhà sản xuất khác nhưng ở cấp độ ảnh hưởng khác nhau, không ngoại trừ điện thoại di động của Nokia hay RIM, thậm chí cả những mẫu smartphone chạy hệ điều hành Android của Google.
Apple khẳng định phần mềm vá lỗi tính toán cột sóng sai sẽ được nhà cung cấp AT&T thông qua trong tuần tới, quá trình cập nhật này là hoàn toàn miễn phí cho iPhone 3GS, 3G.
